I have everything I've always wanted... almost.

“…Except that the young man in the picture was posed next to a young woman who also looked alarmingly familiar. Luce held the book inches from her face and pored over the woman’s image. She wore a ruffled black silk ball gown that hugged her body to her waist before billowing out in wide black tiers. Black lace-up wristlets encased her hands, leaving her white fingers bare. Her small teeth showed between her lips, which were parted in an easy smile. She had clear skin a few tones lighter than the man’s. Deep-set eyes bordered by thick eyelashes. A black flood of hair that fell in thick waves to her waist. It took a moment for Luce to remember how to breathe, and even then, she still couldn’t tear her strained eyes away from the book.

The woman in the photograph?

It was her.”

THE RAVEN CYCLE QUOTES
Gansey + Ronan, Adam & Noah

“But Gansey was already grabbing the car keys to the Pig and stepping around his miniature Henrietta. Even though Ronan was snarling and Noah was sighing and Adam was hesitating, he didn’t turn to verify that they were coming. He knew they were. In three different ways, he’d earned them all days or weeks or months before, and when it came to it, they’d all follow him anywhere.”

“I guess now would be a good time to tell you,” Ronan said. “I took Chainsaw out of my dreams.”

- Maggie Stiefvater, The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle #1)

i started thinking and i needed to say this ok. one of my friends (she actually likes reading and reads a lot) said to me that reading is just like spending time on internet, at the end of the day, it’s a waste. i can’t say she’s wrong, but i can say that i strongly disagree. spending time on the internet is usually pointless and a waste of time, but reading isn’t. it gives you so much. it improves imagination, gives you intelligence. every book has a meaning, even when it’s just a fantasy story made up to entertain you. it has a point, and when you think about it for a second, it can give you more knowledge, it can help you grow as a person, it always has a deepee meaning. i would never say reading is a waste of time, because it has given me so much. i have experienced the joy, pain, love, happiness etc and i would never give it up. i have lived a thousand lives and it has really made me value everything.
